Hi - I'm having an issue with Firefox, well its been ongoing for some weeks but just getting around to it..

My problem is that Firefow will not download files. I have tried the trouble shooting steps and its not a firewall issue because my other browsers will download - as a developer I have all the major browsers installed.

Also I changed the settings to have Firefox request the download folder for each downlod - but it doesn't. Anyway I am about to reinstall will post back then.

Maybe should have done that first.

Just reinstalled and accepted Firefox refresh option - still downloads not working ?

Not a major issue because working in other browsers, but I would prefer a solution.

Also tried with security disabled but no luck, I see the filename in the downloads folder (image attached).

Are you downloading files automatically or do you get a window to specify name and location ? Tools -> Page Info -> General -> Files and Applications -> Downloads

It is possible that (anti-virus) security software is causing the problem.
Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.

OK, removed everything Firefox from %APPDATA%, reinstalled Firefox - still same problem.

I guess it might be a windows security issue, but then the other browsers on my PC will download to the same folder so I dunno ..

Stum ..
