How do I fix the URL bar

I just updated to Firefox 77, and the URL bar is expanding and producing a dropdown. I had this fixed in the previous edition, but it doesn't seem to want to use the same fix here. Can anyone help? As a head's up, I do not have chrome and have no interest in using anything associated with chrome.

Hii Marc,

Firefox supports an optional style sheet file named userChrome.css that we can use to modify the toolbar area, including taming the expanding address bar. Setting up your first userChrome.css file is about a 10 minute project, so when you have time to dive in, here are some threads to check out:
