Firefox crashes on startup even in safe mode

When launching Firefox I get the crash alert and the options to add a comment, quit or restart Firefox. Restart doesn’t work. Holding the shift key to start in safe mode doesn’t work.

Hi IVR4, it sounds like this problem is on a "desktop" version of Firefox -- Windows, MacOS, or Linux -- and not on an iPhone/iPad. Could you clarify that and a moderator can move this thread over to the regular Firefox forum if appropriate.
