If you go to the menu -> customize, does the download arrow appear on the toolbar there? Or is it in the pool of icons? if it's in the pool, you can drag and drop where you want it to appear in the toolbar.

Hi Wendell, the Downloads arrow has an interesting behavior of hiding until you've made your first download of the session. Perhaps you might prefer to turn that off? If you open the Customize feature and find the arrow button, you can single-left-click it to display a tiny form with a checkbox to control whether it hides.

If the button is nowhere on the toolbar in Customize mode, check the large box of unused/available buttons to see whether it is in there.

If it's completely lost in action, you could consider using the "Restore Defaults" button at the bottom of the screen, and then re-customize your bars again.

You could just click on the icon that looks like books on a shelf => Downloads

I have noticed that sometimes when I do a download using a download manager add-on, the download does not show up in the Firefox manager.
