Can the Firefox Home Content sites be locked on the home screen, so that I control what sites are displayed.
I want to; control what sites are available

Hi, follow what McCoy advised, but when you have opened a thumbnail's 3-dot menu (...), click on Pin. The site should not then get replaced.

Hello gary.h.me,
I assume that you are talking about the new tab page, that shows your Top Sites ?
You can set the top sites to any page you like : hover over the upper right corner of a thumbnail till you see three dots appear - click on them, and chose "Edit". Then enter the URL of your choice.
For more information, see :
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customize-new-tab-page
If however you are talking about the homepage (at startup Firefox opens your homepage) see :
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-set-the-home-page
I don't believe that your suggestion solves the problem because if I happen to visit a different site on numerous occasions and even though I don't want it saved, the system will automatically substitute that site for one that had been part of the start up page.
I'm sorry that I'm not very versed in explaining this problem, I hope this explanation is sufficient.

As mentioned in the first link I provided ......
Here's the link I was referring to :

Scroll dow to "Pin a Top Site" ......
