Apparently the color cyan is different than forming blues from a mixture of other colours. Investigations, as in the article cited indicate that the effect is related to our body clock, and is a problem with mobile phones and other digital devices. In Venezuela internet only functions somewhat acceptably between 10 PM and 8 AM, with occasional surprising periods in daytime. When I don't use the computer in the late afternoon and night I can sleep well, when I do I suffer miserable insomnia. I have tried to put as much of the screen as possible, especially in Word, in tones of yellow instead of pure white, but it doesn't help much.

Hi, it is already being utilized in ways, it is blue light that is the issue : Windows 10 has built in Night mote.

Or use F.lux : https://justgetflux.com/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F.lux

As for what you speak of, doubtful. Since the article you refer to came out June 22nd and there is no comment as to when University of Manchester released this it is doubtful that this will be taken up soon.
