It takes forever for Firefox to download my email messages from comcast. I used to be able to force a download, but no longer see that option. Can I still force a download?

Did you Comcast if they were having email server issues? Since that is their email server FF can't control how they setup those servers. Maybe they removed that option but until you ask them you won't know.
