Running version 57.0.2 (64-bit) and I want to permanently disable the "Redirect Notice" generated by Firefox. No options to do so.

Hi  !

You use to able to do it in the 'old' Options, but now you can do this :

Type in the address bar about:config (press Enter) (promise to be careful, if asked)

Type in the search bar and look for the preference :

accessibility.blockautorefresh

and set its value to false to turn it OFF

or set its value to true to turn it ON

Then close and restart Firefox.

Yes, yes... I've seen the same "blockautorefresh" suggestion and it is ineffective. It does NOT stop the redirect notice. As requested, I've attached an example.

It's set to False, it's always been set to false.

Thank you for the screenshot.

That kind of notice is from the website you are leaving. You'll see various styles of it on different websites. I think they do that so you don't blame them for what comes next.

If you don't like having to see that each time, please complain to the site. Is it Gmail? https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/gmail/HBUy2CrD5dk/xwmoTU0LCgAJ

Assuming Google isn't inclined to modify this, it's theoretically possible for an add-on or user script to detect the page and follow the link automatically. But there's no built-in feature for that.
