After Firefox updates to a newer version the start page changes with pictures and I like the start up page on version 56.0.2 (64) bit. I have had to restore and shut off updates to stay with this start up page, I would like to update for security reasons but do not want to use the new start up page.

What in particular is missing in the new Start Page that you would like to have return?

Fairly straight forward to hide elements of the about:home (as it is known internally) via a userContent.css file the user can add to their Profile, but adding elements usually isn't possible, when the older elements don't exist in the Firefox code any longer.

I simply would like to use the version I am using (56.0.2) and do not like the newer version. Again can I update to a newer version and continue to use my older start up page. I appreciate revising and updating the program to keep my computer from getting a virus but do not like the newer start up page otherwise I may have to just quit using firefox as my search engine.
