I need my new tab page to be my home page which is an index of all the sites I use. But firefox just updated and took that away. How do I get it back?

I have a home page that indexes the 100 sites I use most frequently. Whenever I hit NEW TAB, that always came up. Suddenly, as of today's Firefox update, it's gone. I finally figured out how to get rid of the Firefox page that came up instead but how I have a blank page. How can get this page book? I choose new tab every minute or two and it's an extra step to have to get to new tab and then click HOME - which will lose me 20 minutes or more work time each day. I just want back what I had before. Help!

Your "old" new tab page was a custom page, not Firefox's built-in page?

To substitute your own page for Firefox's new new tab page or its old new tab page, you need an extension. For example:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/

If the page you want to load is a local page (file:// URL), unfortunately there are some restrictions. There are a lot of details on the extension's page there on the Add-ons site.

Thank you so much. That was exactly what I needed. I use my custom page at symbaloo.com as the gateway to the sites I use every day.
