Hmm, I don't know. On the add-on's page at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/betterprivacy/ it says "This add-on has been removed by its author."
You can manually clear LSO's set by websites using this page:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager06.html
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
(Macromedia is the company that originally developed Flash, and it was acquired by Adobe a long time ago, so that server is legit.)
Modified
Actually, the storage list is on this page, sorry:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
hello, do not see where i can delete LSO's from the page you sent. thank you
p.s. any equivalent programs to betterprivacy out there?

Do you get the box listing sites that have stored data on your Firefox? I cleared mine the other day, so my box is blank, but I'm attaching a screenshot for reference.
hello, i see nothing that looks like the screen shot you've sent. how do i get there? thank you
That appears on the right side of this page:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
Make sure you enable Flash on the page.
got there. thank you. however i don't see an option for deleting LSO's on any of the panels, and the list of web sites is always blank.

LSO = Local Storage Object, so storage is the correct category.
If there are no stored items listed, presumably that is the truth. You could try the same page in Internet Explorer as a cross-check.
so, finally, there are no equivalents to betterprivacy? thank you 1 more time.

If you do not see one on the Add-ons site, then probably not. At least not for Firefox. There might be one for IE that does the same thing.
strange but true; betterprivacy started to work again. or is this something insidious since it's been removed by its author?
What does it say in about:addons - in the More ... page for Better Privacy. Main thing to look for is the Last Updated field to see if an update could be the reason that it is now working for you.

I would be suspicious of an extension that was removed from AMO by its author or record all of a sudden getting updated and/or activated.
There have been a number of cases in the last year or so where an extension was "sold" and nefarious changes were made by the new "owner" in an attempt to monetize a well known extension.
IMO, that is one of the downsides to the new WebExtensions format - attracting the "wrong type" of extension developer.
checked it out, and the last update was 4/16/17. remove/ disable? thank you.
hello, back again to the adobe flashplayer settings manager page; the settings i enter, particularly the global storage settings, keep changing from where i put them, (check never ask again, and uncheck allow 3rd party flash content...) back to uncheck never ask again, and allow 3rd party..... is checked. is this due to a bug or because i clear all history, (everything), after each session? thank you.
I don't know how Flash stores those settings.
When you clear all history using Firefox's built-in features -- not through an add-on -- do you clear "Site Preferences"? Does it make any difference if you do not clear those?
does not matter, even after re-start. setting goes back to what it wants. and, try getting any info from adobe; virtually impossible to even contact them. because flashplayer is a freebie, the only support is on the forum.
