I have set up links to Favorite folders using the file://server/folder format. However, this stop working few days back. I am able to open the link using IE without issues. However, nothing happens in Firefox.

I tested this from a different computer and received the same results.

I re-imported the links from IE and same result (don't work with Firefox, but open with IE).

I tried Firefox in Safe mode. Same result.

Is there a new format to open links to file folders? Am I missing a configuration setting?

Thanks

For a UNC server path you need 5 backslashes.

You can check the Web Console or Browser Console for (security relelated) error messages.

  • "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer

Hello! file:///driveName/folder/folder(if any)/pageName.htm Perhaps you are missing the '.htm'? at the end. Sorry if that does not help.

Thanks
