Why does Firefox keep crashing when on Yahoo?

more options

Firefox keeps crashing when I am on Yahoo's website, and yet nobody from Mozilla has responded to this, which is quite disrespectful. Either fix this, or stop patting yourselves on the back, because you have NOT done your job of providing a quality product.

We can't respond unless someone tells us there is a problem.

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Flash Player Version: 25.0.0.171

I do not need somebody to talk over my head and act smug. I do not think anybody who supports this company cares enough to support making Firefox a quality product. I also cannot use Google to make phone calls, and I have had to update my browser three times in the last week.

On top of that, you knew this was going to be an issue when you decided to stop supporting Adobe Flash Player, even though numerous websites still use Flash for the moment.

Furthermore, I have clicked the option to have any logs sent to Mozilla when my browser crashes because of issues with Adobe Flash Player. It would seem anybody in the know at Mozilla would realize that I run Linux, and not Windows.

Note that Adobe has started to support the Shockwave Flash plugin again on Linux a few versions back (Flash 24), so best is to update Flash and use the current version. You can download the latest Flash player versions for Firefox on this page:

Firefox 56 has just been released, so you can give this version a try.

Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution.

Sorry to hear about the crashes. Support volunteers can only access your submitted crash reports if you provide us with the report IDs. Please check the support article "Firefox crashes - asking for support" for steps to get those crash report IDs from the about:crashes page, and then post some of the recent ones here.
