I read that Mozilla is going to delete EPUB reader soon and I need to know how to keep the current version of Mozilla, ie 48 and not update the program

EPUBReader is a Extension and not part of the Firefox web browser.

The vast majority of Extensions being hosted at addons.mozilla.org are made by a third-party author or company as it would have say Mozilla or Mozilla Labs as author if it was made by Mozilla.

Where did you read that the EPUBReader is going to be deleted?

The EPUBReader extension author even has a recent update on January 9, 2017.
