When sending emails two emails are received by the recipent, how do I change this back to 1.
I am on Win10 and Thunderbird is the default provider. When sending emails 2 emails are received by the recipient contained within one notification. The email configures and sends ok but 2 appear. This also applies to forwarding emails and sending photos as attachments. Regards Sylv2

When you are composing a message check the delivery format. If it says 'plain text and HTML' I would choose either plain text only or HTML only instead. Thunderbird has the capability to send messages in both formats at the same time and that might be causing the problem. If that doesn't work there are further suggestions in this article: http://ask-leo.com/why_is_my_friend_getting_two_copies_of_my_mail.html

Does this happen when you don't use Thunderbird at all and instead send emails from your provider's webmail interface? Does it happen with all recipients or only one / some?
It does not happen when I send emails using the mail app with win10. It happens with all recipients I have sent to so far using Thunderbird.

@amanchesterman Nice link, explains a lot. I wonder thou if TB sends two messages if you select both html and plain text. To my knowledge both are contained in the same message.
