When using Blinkbox i get warnings but they insist it's firefox not them why?

So i recently changed from google (sells my info) chrome to firefox and had to also update my flash player. When I go on a site called blinkbox to watch a film I get a pop up telling me they want to store info on my computer and they want access to my camera and mic. Thought this was a little weird so I messaged their live chat and after a lot of silence they told me it was all firefox and I should change to chrome. When I asked if they do want access or to store data they replied no they do not want access to my camera or microphone.

Help what's going on?

It's not so unusual for sites that have Flash apps to want to use storage. They can use it for "supercookies" that do not get cleared when you clear regular browser cookies. By default, Flash allows a certain level of storage so usually you wouldn't see a request unless the site needs to store a lot.

The other permission requests are very odd for sites that aren't a communication service.

Is this the only site where you've seen that prompt?

To check on what sites have permission to use storage, and manage other Flash stuff, Adobe has an online control panel spread over several pages. This is the one that shows what sites are storing data on your Flash local storage:

(Macromedia is the company that developed Flash and was acquired by Adobe, so that site is legit.)
