I am running TB 45.2 on OSX and am being prompted to update. However, when I click to update, I am warned that Lightning will be disabled. I don't want to lose my calendar, so what should I do?

If it in fact gets disabled, or removed, you can always reinstall it by going into the addons manager in Thunderbird

Thanks Wayne, appreciate the reply. OK, so I ran the update to 47.0 but there doesn't seem to be a version of Lightning that works with this, as far as I can see. Is there an earlier version of TB for OSX that I can download that is not in the beta channel? I'm really just looking for something that works and has a calendar.

I'm running TB47 and Lightning 4.9b2.

You might want to tweak the en-GB to something appropriate to your preferred language.

OK, thanks Zenos. I now have the latest versions of Lightning and Provider installed. However, I still can't access my Google calendars. When I try to do so in Provider, I get to the dialog 'Create a new calendar' and select 'Google calendar', but the Continue button remains greyed out. Any thoughts?

Gah! I remember, now, seeing a similar glitch when beta testing. I'd forgotten about it because I generally use CalDav to synch my calendar and so don't depend on Provider.

Is there an update for Provider available?
