Why is Firefox constantly breaking my settings?

more options

When firefox is updated settings we have been accustomed to using are broken. For example my homepage is hijacked to the Firefox home page, and then it takes a half hour to figure out how to fix that! You hate the Menu bar. Always have to search for how to turn that back on! Sometimes websites just quit working. Then we have to refresh Firefox, and then re-enable our add-ons. Why can't you just leave these settings alone?

Your home page and displayed bars should not change during a regular update. But if you are asked whether you want to speed up Firefox by doing a Refresh, then of course a Refresh would cause the changes you described.

The next time you see a website stop working, could you post specific information about this first? This could occur for a wide range of reasons, not every one of which really requires a Refresh.
