Hello

FireFox was set not to keep passwords.

This morning, I changed the setting to keep passwords and then went onto a regular site, typed my email and in passwords, a number of asterisks appeared. I was surprised and ticked "enter" to see and sure enough, the password was the correct one.

Did this again and entered my Mozilla support the same way.

In other words, despite a "don't keep password" setting, Firefox had kept my passwords and all a person has to do is reactivate the "keep password" command and type in my email

Pretty disgusted bearing in mind that you say Firefox is safe.

Await your observations
