How do I convert Eudora V7 mail to Thunderbird?

Back in 2011, I attempted to convert my Eudora V7 to Eudora OSE. I, however, got cold feet when the mail file conversion ran so long, so I decided to keep V7. Now, however, I have upgraded my OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and I cannot get Eudora to work, so I would like to convert to Thunderbird. When I ran the a earlier version of the latter, v.17.0.9, one with v7 capability, everything seemed to run OK, but only my 2011 and previous mail ended in Thunderbird. Should I try to use Aid4Mail, or is there an easier way?
