After importing some Eudora E-mail directories, the process stops and I am told that there is a nsemail file in a TEMP directory. After I hit "OK", go to that directory, delete that file, and try to continue the importing process, nothing happens, so I have to end that process. A (small) number of Eudora directories have been imported to Thunderbird.

I don't do German, but my translation of that is Thunderbird can not read the file, or can't find it.

Either way. Try rebooting into safe mode (keep Pressing F8 while Windows starts. ) and do your import in safe mode. M My guess is your anrti virus is being helpful and messing up the import because it is not doing whatever it is doing fast enough. Safe mode should disable that.

Thank you, Matt. This solved my problem.

BTW, it was Dutch, not German.

My Dutch son in law would be horrified. Me, I am just pleased I picked the correct continent. Given the trouble I have with English.

But what can I say, even I should have picked verzenden.

I am glad things are now working for you. Is there anything else? Or should I close this thread?

Please keep it open, as Thunderbird keeps struggling with me. I'll soon be back here, I'm afraid, to ask your assistance.
