When I try to open my home page I get error messages. But then it tells me that it is not being blocked. And Yahoo.com needs to be updated. The version is outdated.

Yahoo.com is a website. Each time Firefox opens a website, the newest version of that website is loaded. Therefore, you will never need to manually update a website.

However, this notification could be from the Yahoo toolbar. If this is the case, you will need to update the Yahoo toolbar addon from the addon manager. To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the addon manager (about:addons in the address bar)
  2. Ensure that you have selected the addon section from the sidebar
  3. Click the gear button
  4. Select Check for Updates from the dropdown menu

This should check for updates and install the newest version of any outdated addons. If this does not fix the issue, please let us know.

Note: You may need to restart Firefox for the latest addons to be installed.
