Try updating Firefox to the latest version, which is 41.0.1 as of today. See Update Firefox to the latest release.

If you still get crashes or hangs with Firefox 41.0.1 then we need more information, such as links to pages whenre you see this problem, crash reports (see Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly)) or the exact error message.
