Sorry, I know this is simple but I wish to selectively do this for security purposes. How can I do plain text reading of a suspicious email and return to HTML. Thanks (*Big fan of Firefox)

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, let us know and we can move this thread to the Thunderbird queue. This question currently is in the Firefox queue for answers.

There is usually a way6 to view the e-mail as HTML if you set the default to plain text. You should also be able to prevent loading any images via external links and embedded content and attached content.
