Firefox isn't syncing across computers even though I've done all the troubleshooting options.

I just created an account for the new firefox sync today. I logged in on my mac and updated my sync preferences. Then, I signed in to the same account on my PC. Even though I have checked that both are connected to sync and the servers are working, they don't seem to be syncing at all. I don't get a message or anything about why. Is there a step I'm missing? How can I fix it?

Update: It started syncing, but apparently in the wrong direction. The skin for my firefox updated to the one on the PC (not the one I like on my mac). When I select the boxes for what to sync, which way do they go? Out to the other device or do they bring the other device info in?
