the question contains all details. firefox stops responding and shutsdown when doing any type search, and will not open back up until i restart my computer.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
What is your search engine?
Does Firefox shut down, or crash?
