is firefox crashing while you start it or are you able to launch it? in the second case, please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there starting with bp- & paste them here into a forum reply (if crash reports don't start with bp- you can click on them once so that they get submitted as well). this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.

thanks, your second report is a current one - please try to disable the skype click-to call extension in the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions and see if this can address the issue.

I see that this add-on is already turned off. But the problem remains. So what can we do about that?

does it make a difference when you refresh firefox? Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
