Hello FF community. I have the latest FF updated version 38.0.5 I am now not able to reply to anyones comments on facebook after this new update but it only happens on my laptop. My android phones and IE all work fine. Its just when I'm using my laptop and Windows 7 that it doesn't work and its just happened within the past two days. I've cleaned out all cookies etc and done a thorough scan for any virus' etc. I've not added any addons since the update or anything.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is?

thanks, Sue

Can you restart with addons disabled and see if the problems still occurs?

and to add to that, it now wont load my notifications in facebook as well. I'm seriously considering getting rid of firefox and going back to IE. I think FF is going down hill real fast. These updates have gotten worse in the past two years. Pages load so slow, most times I have to reload a web page before I can see anything. Yup. I think its time to move on for GOOD.

you have a user.js file present in your profile folder which is often a sign of malicious software being present on your system. so please perform the following steps:

  1. reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.
