Some of the preference panels are the wrong size, and don't show all the choices. I noticed this, and found out about "refreshing" Firefox, so I tried that and it fixed it initially, so I was able to reset them, but now a day or two later, I notice the same problem. Screenshot is attached. Using a Mac and OS 10.10.2

Chosen solution

That could be a problem with the theme that you use in case you have installed one.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Apparently that was it, as I deleted the theme I was using (Walnut) and the problem went away.

Thanks for your prompt response.

You're welcome.

There has been another thread about this issue and the developer advised to use the about:preferences page instead by toggling browser.preferences.inContent to true.
