I have recently been encountering voices etc in the background whilst playing games and on Skype
It started last Sunday whilst talking to my son on Skype. I began getting voices from adverts coming through on Skype etc. When I looked on task manager it appeared to be caused by internet explorer. It took me 9 attempts to close the program only for it to start up again 10 minutes later. I have even uninstalled internet explorer to no avail. I am still getting problems. I have spoke to my local PC world store, who say that they have not come across this problem. So I am contacting yourselves for help.

Have you thought about some supplemental malware scans? Our support article "Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware" lists tools other Firefox users have found helpful. These generally take a good deal of time to complete the scan. If they finish quickly and especially if they ask for payment, you may have a more serious infections. In that case, I recommend the specialized forums listed in the article.
Thanks for your response. I have Fohunter 4, Advanced System Care 8, IOBit AntiMalware and SuperAntispyware., along with Microsoft Security essentials. Which I have all run since Sunday with no effect. How many more programs do I need?
I don't recognize that first one, but Malwarebytes Anti-malware and AdwCleaner may work when others do not.
AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes could be good additions.
