Okay, so yesterday I noticed this rather weird problem:

Firefox Dev Edition seems to be in some "lockdown" state. Basically, all I can do is browse. about:preferences doesn't work, about:addons works, about:support kinda works, but I can't reset - FF quits but never starts again - the process is always active in Task Manager, though. Developer tools won't open too. Is the only solution to do a fresh reinstall? I thought maybe there's something else I could try.

Oh, and the menu looks like this, nothing is clickable: http://i.imgur.com/x9EFIUg.png

EDIT: seems it fixed itself, somehow.

Chosen solution

Nope, creating and using a new profile doesn't change anything :/

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Note that the Aurora (now known as Developer Edition) and the Nightly channels gets checkins almost everyday so therefore there is a update each of those days. Sometimes there can be regressions or issues until the problem checkin(s) is fixed or backed out. These are not stable builds.
