I was constantly reminded to upgrade to the new version of Firefox. I did, and since that time, everything I go to a link in my email, to a store, or to shop, I am bombarded with Constsurf and other ads. I have tried to block everything I could think of, to no avail. This did not happen with the older versions.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware. Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer Windows > Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. (Mac: Open the "Applications" folder) Go thru the list and use a web search to check any that you don't know what they are.

hello, you might have malicious addons present. please try all these steps:

  1. reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. afterwards go to the firefox menu New Fx Menu > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
  3. finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.
