I can log into my bank [Barclays] and get to the page where it gives me my balance. Then when I click on that to get to my statement it takes me to another page which is completely [greyed] blank. I have tried this several times over several days. However when I tried in Chrome the statement came up no problem. I have Firefox version 29.0.1 and Windows 8.1 . Also Kaspersky 2013 installed

I found that after Firefox v29, a LOT of my settings and add-ons were changed / reset.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

  • Clear the Cache

Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar. Then; Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: Clear Now

and

  • Remove Cookies

Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar. Then Tools > Options > Privacy.

Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings. There is a button on the right side called Show Cookies.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar.. Then Tools > Options > Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

I went through the whole procedure you outlined. When I started in safe mode and turned off Use Hardware Acceleration then I managed to get to my Statement page. However when I closed Firefox down and then restarted I had exactly the same problem as originally. In fact it came up that Firefox wasn't responding - I tried to log off my account but I just got the 'whirring wheel' and I had to click on Close the Program in the box which came up and which closed Firefox completely.

I have just noticed that Under History, where I selected Use Custom Settings, then even though I click OK then when I go back to check, I see it has reverted back to Never Remeber History. How can I make it stay on Use Custom Settings ?

Just clicked on the down arrow by the AdBlockPlus button and ticked Disable on Barclays when I started on the Barclays webpage. And Hey Presto the statement page came up after I had logged in. So presume that , after everything , that was all that was needed. Many thanks to all for your help. Much appreciated.
