When trying to go to Gmail, the tab won't open and just says "loading".
For the past three days, every time I try to go to Gmail, Firefox's tab says "loading" and won't open gmail. Gmail works fine on Internet Explorer on my laptop so I know it's not Gmail. No error appears, it just keeps trying to load for as long as I leave the tab open. Any ideas?? I haven't changed anything on my computer or any Firefox settings. Thanks!

In addition to the above, the first thing I would do is clear the cache and delete cookies for the site, this can sometimes help with accessing a site that previously worked. For details see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+clear+the+cache and https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Deleting+cookies

My own googlemail.com account is working at the moment, I have used it today. I suggest you try out the troubleshooting ideas:

tried the deleting cookies / clearing cache - nothing. all i keepgetting is a warining saying "Connection was reset" - An IE8 window will happily connect to gmail though on the same pc :-(
Other web sites are accessible though !

I tried clearing the cache and cookies. Gmail is still not loading!!!!! Please help!
clearing the cookies did not work for me, but as soon as i cleared the cache - it solved the problem.
