I use the wonderful bar more or less as a favorites list. The problem with this is sites jockey themselves around and I find this very annoying. This week a site altered it's address and the dropdown entry returns a 404 page. Last straw lol. How do I edit this entry and if possible lock down the whole list?

You can highlight an entry in that drop down list and press the Delete key to remove it. That should work if it is not a bookmark with a yellow star at the far right.
