How do I stop Firefox from opening pop-up ads every time it slowly installs an update?

If you can't answer, I don't mind switching to a browser that isn't losing market share for eighty straight quarters due to features exactly like this.

The Firefox web browser does not come with popups ads. If you are seeing small popups on bottom right corner of Firefox windows then perhaps what you are seeing are Web Push Notifications from sites you have allowed to send you notifications. You can revoke those sites.

As for other browsers if only Edge and Opera stayed with their own browser engines to have competition instead of downgrading to being chrome/chromium based.
