hello thetaffia, as there is yet another vulnerability in flash 16.0.0.287 which is actively exploited in the wild firefox will block that version from being executed by default for your security .

in order to update your adobe flash plugin to the latest version, download it from: https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

As I have said it is the latest version, so how can I update from the latest version. The latest version showing on Adobe's website is the version I have.

I have version .287, firefox plugin checker says, go update as it is not the latest version, I install that version it tells me to, guess what, it is version .287.

So tell me how I can update the latest version to an even later version that does not exsist

PS: I have just found out that a new version is due tomorow, so it is sort of right but not fully.

Just delete my account as this is a waste of time as I do not have flash on auto update as is my choice.

It is not, it is only available for those who have auto update turned on, I do not, so that info is not accurate

instead of making assumptions (which is indeed wasting our time) please re-read my first answer and follow the instructions.
