I have a problem with online forms on my desktop. When filled in and I press continue they simply reset. I have to use my laptop to order anything on the internet. For instance I could not register an account on this site on the desktop but had to do so on my lapttop. Both computers use the latest versions of Firefox as I thought new updates might fix the problem.

Such details are stored in a cookie.

Make sure that you have enabled cookies and do not have a block exception (Tools > Page Info > Permissions)

You can also try to clear the cookies from that website in case they got corrupted.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
