I cleared mine the same way when my toolbar got out of hand. Press Ctrl+Shift+O to open the Library, click Bookmarks Toolbar on the left, then Ctrl+A to select everything and Delete to remove them all at once. I would export a backup first from the Library's Import and Backup menu, because once they are gone there is no undo.
