cannot clear history in firefox 144.0
have tried everything to clear history and noting works.

Can you tell us more about what you tried to clear the history and if you got a error message?
Started with Menu and clear recent history. Looked everyplace there was information about history. Tried removing individual entries. Tried CCleaner. Ran Malwarebytes.
Dell XPS 8960 less than one year old.

And when you press clear history in the menu it does not clear the history? do you get a error when you try that? do you get a screen where you can select what to delete?

Nothing response with any steps I take. Also, there are no error messages.
Getting more frustrated. Cannot clear history or change option to not save history. No response with any steps I take. Also, there are no error messages. It appears that there is something broken in management of history,
I have messed around with iFrefox all day with no progress. I am unable to clear history no matter which tools I attempt to use. No error messages. All the suggestions I tried had no affect except to add to the cluttered history.
I would appreciate it if someone had the answer.

i can understand this is frustrating. Can you see if it works if you Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox

Thanks for staying with me. I have tried all the steps for clearing history and trouble shooting and not seeing any progress on my Dell
XPS 8960; less than one year old.
Oddly, I tried my older Dell Inspiron 3650, with Windows 10, and it works like it should.
In the past, I didn't use he browser to clear files, I always used CCleaner. They have recently updated the App and now it doesn't let me manage files and cookies like it used to. That's why I have no experience with using the tools in the browser. I will look into that next.
