   I need to sync my firefox data from my old windows 10 laptop to my new windows 11 laptop. Do I have to download the firefox app on to my new laptop before I can sync it, and will I need a new password if I have to download the app. Im using my old password on my old laptop to write this. On the new laptop, I  tried to sign into firefox on the internet but, it said my password is wrong. I'm an oldie and have no idear what to do. Iwill be very grateful for any help. Many Thanks,

Firefox is working but my home page yahoo.com is not displaying. I can open other tabs at will and they work fine. Malware bytes has quarantined the mozilla .exe file and they say this is due to a problem with a firefox update. Do you have a fix for this? My laptop is running Windows 11. Hello! Today I turned on Firefox and there was an automatic update to version 146.0. I have received some kind of notification about cryptocurrencies in right top window but before I read the notification it disappeared. Could you please let me know what was this notification about? Thank you!

your recent upgrade removed my side panel search bookmarks except those that have icons ( icons only)! No description of icon. Those that don't have icons have links but can't read with out hovering for seconds. Impossible to find links quickly!

in the settings I set Google as default search engine. Yet, every once in a while, when I search in the URL field, it searches via Bing, and when I check the settings, it - for whatever reason- has reset Bing as default search engine. I would prefer to get rid of it entirely, is there a may to completely "deinstall" that feature or something?

My computer crashed and so restarted it, when went to open thunderbird got a couldn't load XPCom message. Followed directions to reinstall thunderbird without using the uninstaller. When I installed it, I reloaded my email to set it up. I have lost all my latest emails, only getting them from 15 years ago. and today, nothing from this year. All my folders have also gone and my contacts.

Can someone please help, how do I fix it, I have emails from this year that I need to keep.

Hi I foolishly enabled synch yesterday and today find my (extensive) bookmarking folder system has been turned upside down. It appears to have been reorganised most recent last - very inconvenient. Two questions: can I reverse this?; and is there an easy system for removing many bookmarks chosen randomly at once, rather than one by one? Thanks Tony

I'm simply trying to email someone using the email link on their site.

The link is a mailto link which requires an email application (which I don't have). All I want is to copy the link to the clipboard.

Firefox lets me right click the link and copy the email address, but this doesn't allow me to provide the required Subject specified by the site's author.

I could have sworn Firefox used to have this feature. Netscape and IE certainly always had it back in the day.

In recent months, performance has dropped sharply and I have been unable to resolve using the advice in Help and seeking guidance. I attach the Troubleshooting Information, and a screen shot of me attempting access my Amazon account - 15 minutes and counting.

I have tried multiple options including:

• removal of 25% of software files
• removal of add-ons
• Firefox Safe Mode (no improvement)
• Following performance Troubleshooting guide (e.g. history, caches etc)
• Third Party software (CCleaner Pro) to check Drivers and Software (all up to date)
• Check of SSD Status (92% reported by Windows)
• Task Manager reviews

Seeking your advice and guidance on resolving this (now) painful experience.

Following downloading update version 146, I have been unable to open Firefox, all that happens is that a box appears stating (see images): firefox.exe - Bad image, then C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\xul.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000000d.

After clicking OK on that box another one pops up stating:

Couldn't load XPCOM.

I have tried doing a Windows system restore, to try to take it back before it downloaded version 146, but this hasn't worked.

I've looked online and followed the advice there to download Firefox from your website, but that failed, just generating the XPCOM error.

My MAIN CONCERN at this point is that I do not want to lose all the bookmarks I had saved on my Firefox! I can't see any file within those in the Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder, so is there any other way to save\recover them?

I don't have any original "installation media" so as far as I can remeber Firefox was pre-installed on my PC?

I have a Samsung PC running Windows 10. There are two Mozilla Firefox folder under my C:\:

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox and C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox, under this folder the version is 146.0.0.383, but under the other folder it's version 145.0.2.579?

Please advise as to how to save my bookmarks and rectify this error.

Hello,

I have a personal profile and a work profile on Firefox.

Both profiles have a short cut on the desktop to their webmails. At present when I double click either of the shortcuts, Firefox starts and presents the Windows to select the profile to use.

Is there some way to specify in each shortcut which profile it should use to open the webmail?

I would like to browse the archive of articles that appear with a fresh set every day on the Firefox home screen. Is the archive available? If not, can Firefox make it available for all the users? I am sure that I am not the only one interested in browsing the archive of articles and reading those that interest them.
