For example on woot the big button below the item that allows you to order is missing but if I place the mouse pointer over the area it produces the hand and I can activate the function.

Another example on the weather map when I activate the motion map the scale on the left hand side is missing but again it appears when i hover the mouse pointer. The problem is unique to firefox on this machine it does not happen on my lap top or if i use IE

I can not reproduce. Can you try to update to Firefox 3.6.13? See Update Firefox to the latest release for more details.

I upgraded to latest version before posting issue and I can't reproduce it on my other computers such as a laptop with xp. I also, don't have the problem on this computer using IE. So problem is unique to Firefox on this computer with xp???
