Search Bar still providing suggestions after options are disabled

paul.lau626

Firefox is still suggesting alternative websites when I type in the search bar despite the fact that I only have the bookmarks suggestion enabled.

You can see in the uploaded screenshots that when I typed "FFXIV," the search bar brought up a page that is *not* a bookmark and is some random site I've never been to. My settings are set for only my bookmarks - or so I thought. What am I missing here? Is there another setting I need to disable?

All the "Firefox Suggest" hits have a bookmark icon so these should come from your bookmarks.

If you mean the site that's apparently being autofilled in the addressbar, that looks like a history entry match — open your History library (Ctrl + Shift + H) and search for the string — you'll see when you recorded that access it now matches.

Nope. I also have Firefox clear browsing history every time it closes. I also just manually cleared browsing history and tried again. Same result.
