Machine: Dell Inspiron 15 CPU: Intel i5-7200U @ 2.5 GHz OS: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS RAM: 16 GB GPU: AMD Radeon R5 M445

Yesterday I switched on my PC, opened Firefox and the home page was black. See the attached screenshot. This is not caused by some accidental switching on of the dark mode. Dark mode is clearly off. Neither can I adjust settings to make the Google home page revert to its customary light grey shade.

This isn't a big deal, I know. And it has happened before and in a short period gone away by itself. Maybe it is to do with a glitch in the latest Firefox version. But it has an unpleasant appearance and discourages surfing.

My Chrome Google home page doesn't have this issue.

Can anyone advise on how to fix this unwanted black screen problem ?

I've switch to a new computer and exported and imported my book marks, in json file. I can see them in the library, but I don't know how to get them to display on my sidebar. Help? thanks brian

A few times now, I have inadvertently opened a second Firefox window. The original Firefox window comes up with two pinned tabs. If I close the original window then when I start Firefox the next time, it no longer has pinned tabs. I am running Win8.1 on a desktop system.

I am unable to search via microphone use, when utilizing Firefox with the Goggle searchbar. There is no option to activate the microphone such as there is when using Windows and the Goggle searchbar. Tried to find this in settings etc...

Hi, I have to use Firefox 115.18.0esr (64-bit) due to depending on accessibility tools I need.

I am now finding that websites based on the Discourse Forum will not support this version of Firefox so I was wondering if anyone knows of an FF fork that might work.

I had family over at weekend and ironically none of their Apple devices could access such forums either, not on their iPhone or their iPad.

I tried to contact Discourse but of course their own site depends on the latest version of their awful forum software too.

I think that it is shocking for any website or app or other service to just cut loose disabled, elderly and those in developed countries who depend on old software.

I am still on Win7 as that is the only platform that runs the tools I depend on.

One member of my family was talking about running an Oracle Linux server in the Cloud (wherever that is) and running virtual machines (whatever they are) to allow me to run old and new, but they said that might take months to setup and could not even be certain it would work.

I find it ironic how website are designed to not lose a single user through bad design and they they cut of thousands with this archaic policy.

So I am here to ask if there is a workaround, either a fork that works with these sites or a hack of 115.18.0esr (64-bit) that makes it report that it is V142.04 or something.

Any help would be appreciated.

My bookmarks have suddenly disappeared. I've tried going to manage bookmarks/restore, but it only gives the option to choose a file. Is there any other way to get my bookmarks back?

I've been using You Tube for many years now and a week ago You Tube just stopped the videos. Well I tried and tried different videos and all I get is this message. Video unavailable, this content isn't available. Try again Later and nothing happens. Can you please help me with this. Thank You

Old bookmarks not showing up in Firefox on new computer. It seems to merge all Edge bookmarks onto new Firefox on new computer. Is there away to get old Firefox bookmarks backed that were synched?

I’ve been using Firefox with the Roboform Password Manager extension flawlessly for years. The other day the Roboform toolbar disappeared and stopped working. I’ve contacted Roboform and they believe it’s a browser issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the RoboForm program and extension a number of times with no luck. I tried starting Firefox in safe mode and installing the extension but still no luck.

I followed the Roboform extension installation instructions step by step, after step 5 (password manager was added), there is no step 6 (privacy agreement). After that there is no Roboform icon added to the Firefox menu bar and there is no Pin to Toolbar option in the Roboform extension. I even tried turning off my anti-virus program and tried it.

I’ve been running Windows 11 Pro since March of this year current ver:10.0.26100 Build 26100. And Firefox 144.0 with Roboform extension 9.7.7.7

I upgraded to Firefox 143.0.4 and lost all of my Bookmarks. How do I find and reload my Default Profile? Also, I cannot load anything in Firefox I am forced to use Edge which I do not like at all!!!!

Is there possibility to use a hotkey combination for adding a certain tab into a group lest One has to use called with mouse context menu for every wanted tab? And why not add such possibility if there isn't such possibility?

As the subject says Firefox wont auto update, I have to download the Firefox Installer to update.

Setting says :- Firefox is being updated by another instance

But what interface? How can I fix this? I did have Firefox portable but got rid of that and installed the full package.
