Fiirefox automatically deleted both address and payments after update
Hello,
Following a recent update, Firefox automatically deleted all of my saved addresses and payment methods. I had multiple entries saved for both, and this issue has never occurred before.
When I attempted to autofill an address today, nothing appeared. Upon checking the Payments and Addresses settings, both sections were completely empty. I did not manually delete any of this data.
Could you please investigate this issue and provide an audit report or explanation as to what happened?
Regards, Shawn

Hello! Firstly, let me clarify that as a community volunteer, I am unable to provide you with an audit report. However, your problem may be caused by the following reasons:
1.After Firefox updates, a new configuration file is created (which is the most common situation). Solution: You can enter "about: profiles" in the address bar to see if there is a "default" or "default release" configuration (default is a profile from an older version of Firefox (kept for safety).default-release is the profile used by your current version of Firefox.), then click "set as default configuration file" one by one, and check if your address and payment method exist. If found, setting that configuration file as the default configuration file will solve the problem.
2. Accidentally deleted by cleaned software: Some cleaning software may delete configuration files as private files. If this is the case, then it is basically impossible to recover. You can add the configuration file to the exclusion list of the cleaning software.
3. Firefox synchronization has encountered some issues: If you have logged into your Firefox account and enabled synchronization, it may be due to synchronization failure or being overwritten. You can check if synchronization is enabled, then click "Sync Now" to see if your data can be restored.
4. The stored file 'formhistory. sqlite' is damaged or reset: You can open the configuration folder and find a 'formhistory. sqlite' file. If its size is 0kb, it means it has been cleared. You can check if there is a 'previous version' in his properties. If not, it may not be recoverable
Some suggestions for you: If the file has been completely overwritten, it is almost impossible to recover. You can submit this bug in Bugzilla and hand it over to Mozilla's support team for resolution To avoid losing data in the future, you can use Firefox to sync regularly and manually back up the configuration folder.
Hope to help you!
