I’m suddenly unable to open Mozilla Firefox at all on my Windows 11 Pro (version 25H2) Surface Laptop. The browser never launches - every attempt immediately crashes and opens the Firefox Crash Reporter.

I tried downloading a fresh installer and removing the old installation, but the issue persists. I also noticed the original Firefox program folder has 13 .tmp files inside a “tobedeleted” folder that I can’t delete. When I try to install or uninstall Firefox, I get the same behavior: Firefox never opens, and I end up with multiple instances of the Crash Reporter popping up instantly.

I use Norton Password Manager. I use Firefox most of the time as my main browser. I added the Firefox extension for Norton Password Manager when I got my new laptop, but it never does anything but hang when I try to utilize it. Today I finally turned off the extension and just ran the Password Manager as a new tab on the browser and had no problem with it running. However, it doesn't give me full use of the PM. (It does at least give me my passwords and user names, which the extension wasn't doing.) I keep notes with some of my passwords that are important to me. Using the PM on Firefox on this new laptop, I've found that none of the notes show up in the windows. Is there something I haven't turned off or on that's causing the problem I'm having? Hi everyone, I just set nice custom colors for the websites. Problem is, not every website looks good then, on some it gets messy. Is there and option somewhere to toggle it off, for particular websites, while still keeping the setting on for the rest of the internet?

How do I disable the Firefox browser's addons?

I was using my computer normally until I noticed one of my applications had an error. I could not close the error message the normal way, so I decided it would be a good idea to hit the "end task" on the error message, which caused a blue screen error. "No worries," I thought, "I'll be able to get back to where I was right after my computer restarts." Oh, how wrong I was. Upon logging in to my computer, Firefox opened to... the screen I got when i first installed it? As it turns out, the Mozilla folder in my AppData folder was completely erased, along with all its contents. Is there a way to get my data back?

I have created two profiles using the new functionality that is accessed using the "hamburger" or three horizontal lines menu. I want to open one profile at times, but the other at different times. I can only specify a default profile for initial browser start, or to have the browser make me choose each time. Either of these options mean that I have to go through extra steps to launch any profile beside the default. This effectively makes the new profiles less useful to me than the profile manager that has been around for much longer.

Searching for help online has led me to several suggestions to create shortcuts that use the -P "profile name" switch for each profile. This is out of date because the profiles I can access from the command line bear no connection to the ones I have created as described in the above paragraph. They are only the ones I have created using the (old) profile manager from the profile manager in about:settings.

Did I miss something, in other words is it possible to do something similar with the new container profiles as I can with the original config profiles?

Greetings ! For the last two days I have not been able to access Facebook or Amazon websites. When I use a shortcut or try to type in the URL, the display says something like using Google or such when I have my default set to Firefox ( And I confimed that it is set as such). I can click on a tab or reach anything else ok. Also, those two are accessible through Chrome or Edge ok on here and also on my phone and tablet.I have cleared cache and such multiple time and removed extensions. It is just those two sites on this device on Firefox. I think there was an update recently too.. Thanks for an assistance anyone can give. Cherry

I designed a label in Avery, downloaded as a PDF and told my download to always open in Adobe Acrobat Reader. When I try to open the download I'm told that Reader can't pen because it is either not a supported file type or the file has been damaged. How can I change the program that opens my downloads? I'm using latest Firefox on a Windows computer.

Either recommend an extension/helper or do a redesign for laptops. I've seriously been looking at abandoning FF but I've been using it for so long now that the idea of learning a new one isn't cute. Three stacked banners at the top leave a pretty small area for what I want to read/do. Full screen is nice but then the bookmarks vanish. Please for the love of FSM do something about this before I'm forced to leave.

I had once used my computer for my husband when his was down. Now when I'm in my computer in a web site, an example send a recipe to myself, when it comes in my email it comes from his account not mine. I've went on to his unit made sure my computer was not signed on using his account. I think it's coming thru Google but I can't figure what where & what to do about it. I attached an image showing the first account that comes up when going to google. I can go up to change the account to mine. But if I'm in site then send something it still shows his account & any response goes back to him not me. This causes much confusion as you can imagine. Is there a way to make this stop?
