Must disable ad block to use youtube with adds. How to do this? thanks
I have been watching YouTube for years, issue free. This week I was blocked, as my computer may be blocking ads and thus violating You Tubes policy. How can I find and disable ad block programs/ extensions, thus allowing me to get back on You tube. I can recognize an outright program, but do not knew if extensions are in play that are not obvious to me. THANKS

Oh, sorry, if the button took you directly to the Add-ons page instead of dropping down a list of enabled extensions, then you may need to click into the details for the SUPER... extension and see whether it has an Options panel to control what sites it runs on.

Hi Helene, based on what I've read on r/Firefox (on Reddit), this is a new thing for some logged-in YouTube users. Lucky you!
Do you know whether you have any content blocking extensions installed? Sometimes they will have visible toolbar buttons, and other times they will be on the drop-down panel when you click the Extensions (puzzle piece) button. (Manage your extensions using the extensions button in the toolbar)
For example, look for: Adblock Plus, Adguard, Blur, Disconnect, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix. (Or any others that mention ads.)
There may or may not be a number on the icon indicating the number of blocked items; you sometimes need to click the button to see what's going on and test whether you need to make an exception for this site.
Any progress so far?
JSCHER2000. Thanks so much for your response.' I went to the broken puzzle piece icon and this is what I found. Is there something there that I should disable or remove? Grateful for your help!
You can move the SUPER Antispyware button to the main toolbar using the little wheel on the right. Then try clicking it to see whether it allows any site exceptions or has other settings which might turn it off for YouTube.
