What OS? Will ass-u-me windows.  ;-)) Try downloading and installing in a different directory than your current install. Add something like New in the path of the new install and see if it works. You can also try Refreshing Firefox. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings
