I started getting errors regarding smtpauth.earthlink.net not handling encrypted emails. After doing a lot of checking and trying, yesterday I was able to send messages. Today not. Then I finally found an entry under account settings for the outgoing server. I had security set to encrypted password so, I reset it to NONE and PASSWORD, TRANSMITTED INSECURELY like the server settings for the several earthlink email accounts. Now I have sent 4 emails but none have come through. I checked my other laptop and changed the same setting. I kept getting message that the server sending correct greeting. Although the last message I just sent on that machine appears to have been sent without issue. It also went through.

I may have finally got the problem fixed. Since the previous message was posted - all test messages from this machine have gone through along with those from the other laptop.
