Lost my old bookmarks with the old laptop hard disk crash. I dont think I was using sync option. how do i recover it back?

I lost all the data on my hard disk and in that I also lost the bookmarks for Firefox. Ideally I should have used Sync feature (which is not greatly marketed by the way). Now i lost all my important bookmarks and wondering if I can get it back. All the solutions given are specific to the browser on the same laptop. It would be great if someone can give a solution. thanks.

Without a backup of your data, or if you weren't using Sync your bookmarks are unrecoverable.
